The Thousandth Floor by Katharine McGee Book Review

This was a great read & I’m still in lust over the beautiful cover jacket. Teenagers in the future & all their rich kid drama – sign me up! The author does a great job adding in LOTS of futuristic details. She really created her own world within the NYC landscape. I felt I could really visualize the Tower & most of the characters were easily relatable. I will admit, the relationship between the sister & her adopted brother was a little bit of a turnoff.

It did remind me of Gossip Girl in the future & I mean that as a compliment, of course! I LOVE me some Chuck Bass. There’s definitely a cliffhanger & I’m totally up for reading the sequel. PS- I met the author at a Read Savannah event. Katharine was so kind & I loved hearing how she included inside jokes into the book for her younger sister, to whom this book is dedicated.

THE VERDICT

I am Really Into This book! The Thousandth Floor is a great read for teen readers & anyone up for a futuristic, dramatic adventure with some teens. The sequel, The Dazzling Heights was published August 29th, 2017. Katharine’s third book, The Towering Sky has an expected publication date of August 28th, 2018.
