Step 1: Bake brownies (fudgey, not cakey). Let cool completely.
Step 2: Make Chocolate pudding.
Step 3: Unwrap Butterfingers, place in gallon Ziploc, use rolling pin or wooden meat mallet (hammer is not recommended because it breaks the bag) to bust up the Butterfingers into dust.
Step 4: Layer brownies (break them up into small chunks), pudding, Butterfinger, and Cool Whip in a trifle dish.
Step 5: Repeat layer process.
Step 6: Leave a little Butterfinger to sprinkle in the center on the top layer of Cool Whip.
Step 7: Cover with saran wrap and refrigerate until serving time.
