We have stuff all the time that we are Really Into, but not each and every thing needs its own post. We thought it would be fun to pile a bunch of stuff into one post, so you can keep up with what we’re Really Into. We’re throwing caution to the wind here & this month includes science, T-shirts from an astrophysicist, Pop! Funko characters we are stalking on a local mall’s Instagram account, a comic book about a cat, rainbow keyboards, notebooks with curse words & a lot of books about bad ass women.
Okay guys, I’m a total nerd. I spend WAY too much time at Hot Topic with my kids, which means I always make my way to the Amazon bookstore & stumble into cool things. Our grocery store is right near another bookstore, which means I am forever running in, looking around & making a list in my head of all the crap I want to buy. If I’ve got your cell phone & I know what you’re Really Into, then you’ve received texts from me of stuff I think you might like. I’ve been out & about quite a bit lately, so I’ve complied a list of all the stuff I’m Really Into right now.
Bad Girls Throughout History: 100 Remarkable Women Who Changed the World by Ann Shen From Lilith getting kicked out of paradise to Josephine Baker & Eleanor Roosevelt, this book is chock full of strong females that will no doubt get you ready to kick ass & take names.
Bad Women Throughout History: A Journal by Ann Shen- you still get the stunning portraits with the added benefit of being able to jot down some of your awesome thoughts as well!
Neil deGrasse Tyson T-shirts- I really like all of them, but I these are my faves. These are brand new to Amazon, but they look like so much fun. Youth, women & men’s sizes are available in a few different colors for each pattern.
‘Let’s Make America Smart Again’ T-shirt – In the words of Amy Poehler, Yes, Please!
‘Science Matters’ T-shirt- love the graphics on this one & the simple message
Everyone can identify with this ‘Neil deGrasse Tyson Moon Phases T-Shirt’
ban.do ‘I Don’t Work Here’ Notebook- how could you not love this passive aggressive notebook? I believe it’s a must for any setting. Even if you do work here, who the hell cares? This will help ensure you’re left alone & who wouldn’t want that? If I’m not careful, I could blow my entire paycheck on snarky stuff like this.
Rifle Paper Co. Asst. City Map Set- this isn’t even out yet & I’m already drooling over it. I know Bailey would love this set. Rifle Paper always has the cutest stuff. This map set is gorgeous & I would LOVE to see it in my office. If I can’t have it, then I suppose it would make a great gift for a world traveler.
The Radium Girls: The Dark Story of America’s Shining Women by Kate Moore – I cannot stop talking about this book. You can get our full thoughts on the blog, but it is just amazing. These strong women done changed the game for all of us who followed. Women’s right & safety in the workplace- these things are kind of important.
‘None of Your Damn Business Notebook Collection’ by Calligraphuck- this is perfect for the potty mouthed, smart ass woman in your life. My personal favorite is the ‘Getting Shit Done’ notebook featured in this collection. Although, the ‘None of Your Damn Business’ is close second for it’s passive aggressive tone. I so admire a well placed curse word in a notebook.
Women in Science: 50 Fearless Pioneers Who Changed the World by Rachel Ignotofsky- have y’all seen the GE commercial ‘What If Millie Dresselhaus, Female Scientist, Was Treated Like A Celebrity?’ I am Really Into that commercial. What if Mille Dresselhaus, the first woman to win the National Medal of Science & Engineering award was as famous as any celebrity? This book features 50 fearless pioneers who changed the world. I can definitely handle some more intelligent women in my life, couldn’t you?
Rad American Women A-Z: Rebels, Trailblazers, and Visionaries who Shaped Our History . . . and Our Future! by Kate Schatz – I fell down a rabbithole of women who changed the world & I
can’t don’t want to get out. An A to Z book featuring strong, smart women who impacted the world. Fist up!
I Am Pusheen the Cat by Claire Belton – I don’t even like cats, so can you please explain to me whey I love this book so much? It’s hilarious. Pusheen is lazy, pushy, fun, has no boundaries, but is so lovable. I can’t get enough of this book. I keep it by my desk & browse through it when I need a laugh.
Funko POP! Ursula With Cruella De Vil 2 Pack Hot Topic Exclusive – speaking of bad bitches, I snagged these 2 ladies earlier this month. Two of the revered Disney villains now have a home with me. I love Ursula too much. I also grabbed up the Queen of Hearts & I’m just waiting on my main bitch, Maleficent to be released! I’m stalking our local Hot Topic Instagram page to find out when it arrives.
Kuzy Silicone Skin for Mac Book- I kept seeing some of my fellow Instagrammers using this bad ass rainbow keyboard. I just got a new laptop & I’m prone to making huge messes. For under $7, this is a steal & a few of my work friends are planning on getting their own. It’s fun, cheap & actually serves a purpose.
Canvaslife Flower Patten Laptop Sleeve- I was looking everywhere for a case to carry my laptop. I thought for sure this would come and be thin & crappy, but it’s thick as a quilt, soft, provides cushion & I Really like the pattern. Again, for $7- it cannot be beat.
That’s it for now. I’m broke & my wish list is all full. Let me know what you’re Really Into, what you’re currently obsessing over & what I meed to be on the lookout for when I’m eating a pretzel at the mall on a Friday night. What are you Really Into?
