Black Cocoa White Chocolate Chip Cookies

This is a tasty & rich white chocolate chip cookie recipe featuring Black Cocoa.

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups all purpose flour
  • ¾ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¾ teaspooon salt
  • cup Black Cocoa can substitute with Dutch process cocoa powder
  • 1 cup room temperature unsalted butter
  • 1 ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg plus 1 large egg yolk
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 10 oz white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees & line half sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt & cocoa powder.
  3. Using a stand mixer with a paddle, beat the butter & sugar until light & fluffy (about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the eggs & vanilla. Beat for another 1-2 minutes until combined. Be sure to scrape the bowl.
  5. Add in the flour/cocoa mixture & beat on low speed until mixed.
  6. Mix in white chocolate chips. Save a ¼ cup if you want to make them extra pretty. You can top the cookies with them right before they go into the oven.

  7. Using a large scoop, place cookies on half sheet about 2-3 inches apart.
  8. Bake at 350 deg for 10 - 13 minutes. Cool on pan for at least 5 minutes then transfer to a cooling rack.
