Class Mom by Laurie Gelman
PTA parents rejoice. Jen Dixon is here! Class Mom by Laurie Gelman is a funny, cute & relatable romp into the trenches of parenting a school-age child. Cue the e-mail requests for snacks, chaperones for a field trip to the dump (recycling center) & class party prep. Add in a sarcastic & brutally honest mom who isn’t afraid to hit that send button & we’ve got ourselves a fun & likable book!
Jen Dixon
I really like that Jen is raw. What you see (or what you read) is what you get. She’s not putting on airs, she’s just trying to get through this crazy parenting thing! I love her relationship with her husband, Ron. There’s a sense of trust & I feel like they have each other’s back.
There are a few scenes in Class Mom by Laurie Gelman that will have you cringing in the best way! Even if you’re not a parent, some of the situations are so ridiculous. Just dealing with people is pure comedy. if you’ve worked retail, you already know that.
