Trad wives – let’s talk about them. Jo is the first person I heard talk about Trad wives years ago on her social media. As soon as I had a term for the type of women who were inundating my social media, it felt like something clicked. They were EVERYWHERE. And guess what? They still are.

Since introducing me to the term, I’ve gone down many rabbit holes with Jo, dissected articles and interviews and listened to commentary from so many people regarding trad wives. As soon as Jo announced she was working on a trad wife mystery, I was feral. I needed that book!

Trad wives working on the farm, baking bread and raising obedient children may be all over YouTube and TikTok, but take a look at Tia Leving’s incredible book, A Well-Trained Wife to get an inside look at what these values may actually look like.

So back to Jo’s book, I loved it. I devoured it. I think I read it in two days and I was enthralled. The strained friendship between the two main characters, the reconnecting through social media, the interview offering a chance at reconnection. It felt so real!

Once Bex goes missing, you see how her old friend and journalist Gray goes to great lengths to get to the truth. This book kept me guessing until the very end and it was so fun!
