Synopsis for Praise by Sara Cate
His flawless pet.
His good girl.
Broken down and wounded by my emotionally neglectful ex, I wanted someone to tell me I was good enough.
Then, I stumbled into a new job with a boss who brings me to my knees—literally. He has me do things a real secretary would never do.
Emerson Grant tells me I’m more than just good enough.
I’m worthy of his praise.
There are a million reasons why I should stay away. The owner of the Salacious Players’ Club is not just my new boss, he’s twice my age.
And my ex-boyfriend’s father.
With him, I am treasured. I am adored. I am his.
I’m a good girl, but I’m falling for the wrong man.
Emerson Grant knows what he wants—
And he wants me.
So how far will I go to hear his approval?
Book Review: Praise by Sara Cate
I’ve heard recommendations for this series for such a long time. So I did what any good reader does, I added it to my TBR to sit indefinitely. Well, I finally started it, and then boom – this book became the center of my world. What is time when you’re reading Sara Cate?
Here’s the thing about the Salacious Player’s Club – these books shouldn’t work for me. People want a list of tropes before they dive into a book these days, so here you go:
-Age gap MMC much older than FMC
-MMC owns a private sex club
-FMC accepts a job working as his secretary
-FMC used to date the MMC’s estranged son
-Toy play
-Degradation
-I’m sure I’m missing some, but you get the idea, right?
Let’s connect with books! I have all of my reviews on Goodreads!
In theory, this book doesn’t work for me except guess what? It totally does. I’m now on the hunt for more age-gap romances because this one is so perfect. Sara Cate has a way of writing sex-positive scenes and storylines that make me think differently about sex and relationships. She takes these taboo topics and character relationships and educates readers and makes them fall in love with her characters.
The Verdict
I am Really Into This book. I can’t wait to read the rest of this series & I read this book on Kindle Unlimited.
