If you’re on TikTok, beauty blogs or the internet at all, then you’ve seen the rise in Korean sunscreens. They’re everywhere & they’re here to stay. If you’re anything like me, you pay attention to the trends and sit back. I’m not the first to jump on what’s hot, or what’s new- especially when it comes to my skin. My skin is ultra sensitive and I have to be very careful about what products I use.

After using Chantecaille for years and year, I decided to branch out. I researched this brand of sunscreen for a bit before giving it a go. I was quickly overwhelmed by the different ingredients, trying to figure out what was safe, etc. That lead me to YouTube where I watched endless videos discussing how the FDA regulates sunscreen in the United States and explains why other countries are ahead of us in the development and approval of different sunscreens. Does Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Actually Work?

Yes, I think it works very well. Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun was on heavy rotation this summer. I picked berries, went to the beach, traveled and more and didn’t get burned once. I do wear a ridiculous hat when I go out, but sun protection is important!

What Does It Smell Like?

I have a very sensitive nose and I can’t smell anything. If it isn’t fragrance free, it’s very close.

What Does It Feel Like?

Honestly, it feels great. It’s not too greasy and my skin absorbs it pretty quickly. In the past, some sunscreens have pilled on my skin and I’m happy to say this one fully absorbs. I worried it may be too thick and I would have to use a lot, but there’s a lot of sunscreen packed into the bottle.

What Does It Look Like?

Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics is pretty thick, not runny at all. There’s no real shine, sheen or cast like many sunscreens. I always apply my sunscreen after my moisturizer and I use a decent sized amount – about a quarter or so. My skin is very dry and this helps with moisture and doesn’t flake. A big plus for me.

Is It Worth The Money?

Definitely. I wish I’d had access to wonderful sunscreens like this growing up. If I had, I would’ve been more apt to wear daily sunscreen and my skin would likely be in better condition. Yes Style offers promos on their site & you can even buy two bottles at a time.
