Chantecaille Skincare Review

Chantecaille Skincare Review Really Into This BlogLet’s get started with this Chantecaille Skincare Review.

First, I have to admit that I am the furthest thing from a beauty expert. The truth is, my makeup usually expires before I use half of it. I depend on my girlfriends for the newest recommendations on all things beauty. I’m also known to peruse the Nordstrom beauty counter for samples & new products, which is where I discovered Chantecaille.

Dry, Sensitive, Acne Prone Skin

To say that I have dry, sensitive skin is an understatement. I’ve spent years trying to find a moisturizer that actually works. When I moved up to Portland, Oregon a few years ago, my skin went totally nuts. My teenage acne was back with a vengeance and my skin was so incredibly dry that it hurt to smile. I loathed hearing the heater kick on & my Adapalene (Differin) topical treatment was helping my acne, but also contributing to my dry skin.

I found myself at the Laura Mercier counter one day where I met Michelle, a Nordstrom cosmetics expert. We started talking about my favorite Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer & I divulged that I had been putting Aquaphor on my face at night because I was so desperate for something to help with the dryness. She asked if I had a few minutes & she wanted to show me some Chantecaille products.

My Introduction to Chantecaille

I had a seat at the counter & she started telling me about the Chantecaille Flower Infused Cleansing Milk. Michelle used about 5 pumps & started gently massaging it into my skin. She explained that the Flower Infused Cleansing Milk can be applied without water & it will cleanse & moisturize the skin.

Y’all, I am not even kidding – as soon as Michelle applied the Flower Infused Cleansing Milk, it felt like my skin was finally getting all the nourishment it was craving. Michelle then applied a wet cloth to gently remove the cleansing milk. I looked in the mirror & IMMEDIATELY my skin was less angry. I was so excited!

Chantecaille’s Star Skin Care Product: Pure Rose Water

Next, Michelle introduced me to Chantecaille’s Pure Rose Water & she explained it as a cornerstone product of the brand. This Pure Rosewater is harvested in Provence, France during the month of May & provides healing & moisture to the skin. The Pure Rosewater became a daily skin care essential immediately. Before using Chantecaille, my makeup would begin to crack & look super dry throughout the day. All my dry skin folks know this is the worst. The Pure Rosewater allows me to give my face a little spritz & a little moisture boost multiple times a day.

Now I always carry the Pure Rosewater with me. Chantecaille offers a 1 oz. & a 3.4 oz bottle. The travel size spray is perfect to put in your makeup bag & you can easily refill from the larger bottle. I’ve had many of my friends try this product & they’ve all loved it. The Pure Rosewater is so refreshing & it’s definitely the one Chantecaille product I couldn’t live without.

A Hrydating Cream for Winter Skin

The last product Michelle recommended to me was the Chantecaille Flower Harmonizing Cream. I Really needed something to stop & prevent the dryness. The Chantecaille Flower Harmonizing Cream is thick enough to work really well as a night cream & it also provided enough moisture to last throughout the day. Perhaps the best thing about the Chantecaille Flower Harmonizing Cream is that a little goes a long way. Michelle applied the cream by gently pressing it into my skin rather than rubbing it in. This Really set the cream into my skin & it felt wonderful.
