Dax & Kailyn

I love Kailyn. She’s cool, calm, collected. Best yet, she has a total Fangirl side. I can relate! When she meets her teenage fantasy at law school, things don’t go swimmingly for her.

Dax is a mess. I imagine him as the guy I would love to hate. But, you just can’t hate him! He’s slick but genuine. Cool yet unrefined. I loved getting to know him & see his softer side.

Steam Index

Just like the title, this book is very cute. There are some racy parts, but it’s definitely mild on the steam scale. That’s totally okay with me. The steam matches the story arc very well. Let me tell you something. The ending has me GIDDY! If you’ve read it, let’s talk about it! I’m sliming right now thinking about it!

With a Heavy Heart

If you’re like me, expectations can make or break a book. I must admit; I wasn’t expecting this book to be such an emotional read. Luckily, there is a great mix of humor & romance to offset some of the more emotional aspects of the book. Hunting ensures there is a great balance.

THE VERDICT

I am Really Into This book!

Much like one of my 2019 favorites, The Friend Zone, Meet Cute adds in many discussions surrounding periods. Yes, women have periods! I love this because it makes the conversations authentic & believable. Sidenote: keep the guy who knows what kind of pads, tampons & painkillers you prefer.
