Everything Cheddar Filled Braid Recipe
A while ago, Jessica told me about Trader Joe’s Everything but the Bagel Sesame Seasoning Blend. Have you heard of it? Basically, someone scraped all the tasty stuff off an Everything Bagel & bottled it. To be honest, it looked suspicious, but oh my gosh- it is so satisfying!
As soon as I opened my bottle of the Everything but the Bagel Sesame Seasoning Blend, I ate a bagel a day. I already told all our Instagram friends about it. My daughter may have caught me eating it by the handful a time (or two). It’s garlic filled & salty. Just trust me, the stuff is good.
Let’s Braid Some Bread
A month later, my friends at King Arthur Flour featured the Everything Cheddar Filled Braid Recipe in their monthly catalog. I had to make it. Let’s do it!
King Arthur has their own Everything Bread & Bagel Topping, but since I had my Trader Joe’s stuff on hand, I used it. Overall, this Everything Cheddar Filled Braid Recipe is pretty easy. Once the dough doubles, you will roll it out into a rectangle. Note the tape measure in the background. I like to be precise!
The dough gets separated into thirds and you’ll place the filling in the middle & cut the sides like a fringe skirt. While the recipe calls for 2/3 cup of cheese, I don’t mess around & doubled it.
Next, comes the braid. You will gently cross the pieces of the fringe skirt to seal the bread. This dough was on point!
Now, it’s time for more patience, grasshopper. Let the dough double again & then it’s time for the eggwash & the topping. Check this baby out!
I am Really Into This Everything Cheddar Filled Braid Recipe! It’s perfect for any party & its great any time of the day. Pair it with eggs & bacon for a savory breakfast or have a slice with you New Seasons Kale Salad. It’s all about balance, right?
I want to make a Pepperoni Pizza Braid, doesn’t that sounds good? Please, give me some other ideas!
