If you’ve ever dreamed about being with a rock star, I think you would love Idol by Kristen Callihan!

Synopsis for Idol by Kristen Callihan

Libby – I found Killian drunk and sprawled out on my lawn like some lost prince. With the face of a god and the arrogance to match, the pest won’t leave. Sexy, charming, and just a little bit dirty, he’s slowly wearing me down, making me crave more. He could be mine if I dare to claim him. Problem is, the world thinks he’s theirs. How do you keep an idol when everyone is intent on taking him away?

Killian – As lead singer for the biggest rock band in the world, I lived a life of dreams. It all fell apart with one fateful decision. Now everything is in shambles. Until Liberty. She’s grouchy, a recluse —and kind of cute. Scratch that. When I get my hands on her, she is scorching hot and more addictive than all the fans who’ve screamed my name. The world is clamoring for me to get back on stage, but I’m not willing to leave her. I’ve got to find a way to coax the hermit from her shell and keep her with me. Because, with Libby, everything has changed. Everything.

Book Review: Idol by Kristen Callihan

I’ve heard people rave about this series for years. I finally decided to give the audio a go and I loved it so much. I downloaded book 2 in the series before I was halfway finished with Idol. So good!

This book starts off with a bang. Liberty is minding her business and Killian is passed out on her lawn. What a way to start off a neighborly relationship, right? The allure of the celebrity, or in this case, rock star is always a winning trope for me. There are so any positive things about entering into the public eye, but it all comes at a cost. Liberty knows this all too well based on her dad’s experience in the music industry.

This book has A Star is Born vibes without the horribly sad ending. Thank goodness for that. Idol has a good amount of hot and steamy open door romance and a shared love of music between the main characters. I’m sure you already guessed that!

Let’s connect with books!  I have all of my reviews on Goodreads!

About Kristen Callihan:

Kristen is a child of the 80s, which means she s worn neon skirts, black lace gloves, and combat boots although never all at once and can quote John Hughes movies with the best of them. A lifelong daydreamer, she finally realized the characters in her head needed a proper home and thus hit the keyboard. She believes falling in love is one of the headiest experiences a person can have, so naturally she writes romance. Her love of superheroes, action movies, and history led her to write historical paranormal novels. She lives in the Washington, DC, with her husband and two children.

Momma, wife, baker, reader & smart ass. I am Really Into doughnuts, inside jokes, trash TV, pizza, 48 Hours & George Michael.
