The Perfect Escape by Suzanne Park

The Perfect Escape by Suzanne Park is a cute, fun & memorable novel about two kids right before they hit adulthood. Throw in a Zombie Escape room, issues with parents & a survival contest & I’m super entertained.

I knew going into The Perfect Escape that this is more of a YA themed romance. I’m totally fine with that even though I’m definitely not a huge YA fan. Several months back I listened to Frankly In Love & I just fell in love with it. For me, there are a lot of great similarities between the two stories.

Kids about to graduate high school with hopes & dreams finding themselves in a new, fresh relationship. Are YA tropes a thing? If so, that’s my YA trope!

The more I think about The Perfect Escape by Suzanne Park, the more I really like it. There is a tenderness and vulnerability in both characters that really makes me root for each character. I love Nate’s little sister. There are a lot of pop culture references thrown around & I always love that.

THE VERDICT

I am Really Into This book! I really like for Park’s debut and I can’t wait to see what she does next. Read this if you’re in the mood for a lighter story that leaves you smiling.
